07/13 - Technology Alert! Campus card system and Purple Pass will not be available Wednesday, July 14

On Wednesday, July 14 a major software upgrade will occur with the Winona campus identification card system-CBORD. The ID card system will not be functional for the day. This software controls all aspects of the Winona campus ID card system including Purple Pass. The following systems will be affected:
  • Copy machines will not be available (The copiers in the library with coin ops will continue to accept coin)
  • WSU Copy Center located in the print shop (Somsen 112) will be available to meet all department needs on Wednesday for a lesser charge for your copies. The Copy Center is trialing a new online copy order submission form. If you need copies on Wednesday try the new system or submit your requests in your traditional way. Here’s the link to the new online copy request form https://mywsu.winona.edu/forms/creativesvcs/Lists/Digital%20Copy%20Request/NewForm.aspx
  • The food service cash registers will run in offline mode. They will accept cash & credit, but no Purple Pass.
  • The Purple Pass tender will be unavailable in the bookstore. (all other bookstore functions will remain unchanged)
  • The Purple Pass system will not be available to add funds
  • Campus card office will not be able to print or issue new ID cards or replacement cards
  • Snack & Soda vending will not be available to use Purple Pass (Coin and Bill Collectors will continue to operate)
  • Laundry vending will not be available to use with Purple Pass (Coin and Bill Collectors will continue to operate as will Laundry View)
The upgrade is scheduled for the entire day, but it is possible that this upgrade will be completed in less time. We will notify the campus when the ID Card system is functional.
